The landscape of medical education is constantly changing, as are the learner's, Professions, and community needs. When assessing the need for change and implementing one's innovative endeavors, the appropriate use of research and evaluation is critical. Research has become a cornerstone of modern medical Education practice, as we need to be able to make informed decisions based on the best available evidence rather than anecdotal evidence in order to provide our learners with the best practices in teaching & Learning and Assessment modalities. The Medical Education Centre at University of Sharjah develop a Certificate in of Excellence in Research and Evaluation specially for faculty of the medical/health colleges at the University aiming to enable them to develop a critical knowledge, understanding, application of health professions education research & Evaluation skills required for educational process.
Aim
To Develop a community of educators on medical and health science campuse who are committed to advancing both the 'what' and 'how' we teach future healthcare professionals through the use of evidence-based practices in teaching, learning, assessment, and enhancing the university's educational process.

Delivery and Assessment Methods
The certificate program will be delivered across the semester (15 weeks), using blended learning approach (online materials and weekly hands-on training workshops).
