The Department of Human Resources (HRD) at the University of Sharjah is dedicated to managing the needs and affairs of faculty and administrative staff. HRD plays a crucial role in supplying the University with highly qualified faculty and staff, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Policy Implementation and Development: We enforce and periodically review approved policies, regulations, and plans pertaining to personnel across the University. Our goal is to keep these policies current and aligned with the University's evolving needs.
  • Strategic HR Planning: We formulate and enhance HR policies, including short-term strategic plans, to attract and retain highly skilled and experienced professionals.
  • Career Advancement: We design and implement career development programs aimed at reducing employee turnover and drawing in top talent.
  • Job Description Management: We prepare, update, and refine job descriptions for all University positions in collaboration with relevant units.
  • Emiratization Initiatives: We implement and support Emiratization strategies to increase the representation of Emirati staff within University units.
  • Performance Appraisal: We activate and manage regular performance appraisal procedures to ensure effective employee evaluations and development.
