Center Of Excellence For Healthy Aging

Department Overview:

Caring for the elderly is a growingly complicated and multifaceted worldwide challenge.

 As one of the University of Sharjah's (UoS) strategic goals is to “Develop an environment of excellence" we believe the UoS can play a dominant role in serving the growing elderly community of the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular. This would not only be in alignment with the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 approved by the UAE Cabinet with a plan aspiring to make the UAE a world leader in quality of life but would also serve the UAE Centennial 2071 of establishing “A happy and cohesive society."

Since the UoS seeks to promote and deliver a type of integrated practice unit within an integrated healthcare delivery model, the center of excellence for healthy aging (CEHA) was established to fulfill this strategic target.
