Sharjah Astronomical Observatory (SAO), consisting of an optical and a radio facility, aims to ensure the accuracy of astronomical observations while providing a suitable environment for astronomical research in the region. The SAO works on enhancing community awareness about astronomy and encouraging public participation through organizing events that are open to visitors. The observatory also offers workshops for students and the public aimed at enhancing scientific skills and increasing awareness of astronomy. It also aims to document significant astronomical events and share them effectively with the public, thereby contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and enhancing understanding of phenomena of the universe.
