Our specific aims include:
- Understanding UAE genetic and environmental factors regulating, at the molecular level, the processes of tissue injury and repair.
- Discovery of specific diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for asthma, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
- Developing new immune-related therapeutic modalities for Asthma, cancer, and autoimmune diseases, to improve the tissue repair process.
An important aspect of the investigation will be to understand the influence of epigenetic and tissue microenvironment on tissue remodeling and the response to medications.
The integrative and complementary nature of our research interests is a major part of our strength. It enables our group to address the homeostasis and regeneration processes at the cellular and tissue levels.
Mission:
- Giving importance to cultural, literary, historical and social studies in the Arab Gulf States.
- Supporting Gulf studies, and promoting interdisciplinary academic exchanges.
- develop, create and expand the research environment on studies of the Arab Gulf territory to be able to contribute and participate in international conversations that highlight issues related to the Arab Gulf countries, especially when those conversations are led by foreign parties .
Objectives:
- Study the common issues, themes and challenges of the Gulf Cooperation Council States.
- Preparation of a diverse and integrated Gulf encyclopedia in many areas.

- Provide the necessary data and information to decision makers in the Gulf region that will help them in developing public policies in all areas in which this research group operates.
- To provide common data and statistics in all areas of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Targeted-Focused Areas:
- Understand genetic and environmental factors regulating tissue injury and repair in Asthma
- Immunomodulation of Chronic Inflammation using novel drug delivery tools
- Cancer invasion and tissue remodeling
- Metabolic disorders and tissue repair
