In the presence of His Excellency Prof. Hamid M.K. Al-Naimiy, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah (UoS), the University of Sharjah and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of research, training, and knowledge exchange. The MoU was signed by Prof. Yousef Haik, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UoS, and Dr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of AGDA.

Prof. Hamid M.K. Al-Naimiy welcomed the attendees on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, expressing the university's readiness to collaborate with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in academic and research fields.This is in line with the University of Sharjah's commitment to strengthening its partnerships with leading institutions, reflecting its dedication to supporting higher education and scientific research. He added that this partnership will contribute to the development of scientific projects and research aimed at addressing community issues and achieving sustainable development, by utilizing the university’s advanced research centers.

The Chancellor also presented key statistics highlighting the university's development, including the increasing number of graduates and the expansion of academic programs offered across its various colleges. He emphasized that the university remains committed to being at the forefront of academic institutions, dedicated to shaping a brighter future for students.

For his part, Dr. Al Dhaheri emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating: “This partnership underscores Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy’s commitment to advancing academic excellence and scientific research in diplomacy and international relations. Through our cooperation with the University of Sharjah, we seek to foster knowledge exchange, share expertise, and develop specialized training programs that equip national cadres with the highest professional standards. Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting joint research and studies that address the evolving dynamics of the international landscape, ensuring our students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to navigate future challenges.”

This memorandum is part of UoS and AGDA’s commitment to expanding the horizons of joint cooperation and exchanging expertise in areas of mutual interest. The MoU includes several areas of collaboration, such as the sharing of information, research papers, and studies; coordination of training programs and initiatives; as well as organizing meetings, visits, and seminars on topics of mutual interest.

The signing ceremony was attended on behalf of the University of Sharjah by Dr. Salah Taher Al Haj, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs; Prof. Adnan Sarhan, Dean of the College of Law; Prof. Zahia Salhi, Acting Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; and Dr. Shyamal Kataria, Chair of the International Relations Department. On behalf of the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, the attendees included Mr. Abdullah AlAmeri, Operations and Support Director, Ms. Manal AlBraiki, Strategy & Future Department Director, Ms. Asma AlBlooshi, Executive Training Director, Dr. Noura Elouahhab, International Strategic Partnerships Leadership Development Expert, Ms. Nidaa Ali, Project Coordinator and Ms. Amina Saleh, Executive Secretary.
