His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, President of the University of Sharjah, has been awarded the prestigious Golden Honor Medal by the European Royal Academy in Spain. The Golden Honor Medal is the highest distinction granted by the academy, which was established in 1914 under the auspices of the King of Spain. Over its history, only four distinguished leaders have received this honor, including Dr. Rosalía Arteaga, former President of Ecuador (2016), Dr. Luis Alberto Lacalle, former President of Uruguay (2017), and Dilma Rousseff, former President of Brazil (2018).
